In a historic announcement for cycling, the 2027 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift is coming to the UK. For the first time ever, both the men’s and women’s Grand Départs will take place in the same country outside of France, with the women’s race kicking off in Leeds on July 30, 2027.
This isn’t just a win for professional cycling – it’s a landmark moment for amateur riders. Every cyclist who joins The Route will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride the official course just one day before the professional peloton.
The 2027 Grand Départ will showcase the rugged beauty and iconic urban landscapes of Northern England. The race begins in Leeds, a city with a deep cycling heritage, before traversing the Pennines into the heart of the North.
The confirmed stages for the UK leg are:
- Stage 1 (July 30): Leeds to Manchester
- Stage 2 (July 31): Manchester to Sheffield (via the Peak District)
- Stage 3 (August 1): A showpiece finale in London

The ATICUS Network Connection
In a unique synergy of sport and clinical expertise, all four primary host cities – Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield and London – are key hubs within the ATICUS Network, aligning closely with the funds raised by The Route riders making a significant difference to the lives of children battling blood cancer, through the funding of the ATICUS Network.
The full stage routes for 2027 will be announced in October 2026, where The Route 2027 riders will discover the detail of each of the 9 stages they will take on, just one day ahead of the professionals.
